Please urgent prayers for a student, who is a classmate/friend of my own grandson. His name is 'Rhett', a 4th grader at Highland Lakes Elementary School. His teacher, named Miss Petty is terribly harsh with him. He has a lot of difficulties, and I suspect autism and other neurodivergent tendencies, because I have a lot of experience in those matters. He should be in special classes that would help him cope with school (and probably home) environments and situations. It makes me so sad and also angry. I've seen where parents have refused any special help and accomodations, claiming their child is 'fine', or that they feel he will be stigmatized. I just left the cafeteria the see my grandson and this other boy, Rhett, was in full meltdown mode. His teacher was an absolute MONSTER to him as if she could discipline the autism out of him, or that her unwavering strict rudeness and lack of acknowledgement would help. He was ostracized and set off to the side away from friends only because he had become overwhelmed. Her lack of caring was practically criminally negligent. I hope he doesn't get treated that way at home too. As I was leaving he made eye contact with me (I'm also autistic and it's not easy to do for some of us). His eyes were screaming "HELP ME" like he also needed to be better helped to be able to help himself. It was silently expressed, but I heard it loud and clear. Please pray for Rhett.
