Please pray for Matt and his son to have fun and smiles today. Many prayers were answered yesterday! They had a good afternoon and evening after the really rough start! Thank you, Mother Mary and Your Son, our Lord Jesus for intervention. Today, Matt seems somewhat disgruntled and like the weight of the world is on his shoulders. He got up to make his son a cup of Ramen, because it's the end of the month and we have no money and almost no food here. Matt hasn't been working lately, sadly. I think his mind is bogging down in the muddy mess of finances mismanaged. I struggle in the same way but my husband and I are elderly and disabled. We can't work anymore. Our money only comes once a month. Please pray that when Matt gets up from his nap again in a little while, they he and little Matthew can find a good way to enjoy the day together. The boy, like normal 8 year olds might do who only see their dad on occasion, tries to ask his Dad for a new toy, will go on and on about being 'bored', want to go get a happy meal, etc. That passes, but Matt beats himself up about not being able to give his son what he asks for, because he has guilt over not being the kind of Dad he wants to be, and not being able to provide the kind of life he wants for his son, due to mental and physical limitations he adamantly denies. Please pray for this situation. I just want my son and grandson to have a good day.
