Please pray for Matt and his sons. They got to spend Saturday here with him. Now, they have chosen to extend their stay until tomorrow, Tuesday. He let the teenage son drive a few feet in the driveway and he hit a fence post, literally ripping the wheel off. Now Matt doesn't have a car until an expensive repair is done. Matt spent $300 on his boys at a mall and day of adventure the first day. Now he has $0. No money, no car, 'bored' and hungry kiddos. He is very upset with himself for giving in to overspending tendencies to make them happy. He's living here with us, and we have food and transportation but he's very depressed realizing what a mess he made before he turned his life around. He's got a new job lined up to start tomorrow. Was supposed to start today, but took an extra day to spend with his boys. Now, Marie, his ex and young son's mother, has been posting unnecessary and hurtful things on social media, just trying to make him feel worse about the fact that she found a new boyfriend while Matt was in jail. Talking all about how she loved watching him sleep and playing with his hair every night. That was a very private and intimate thing she and Matt did. It was their special activity together. She just had to put that out for the world, including Matt to read. Matt had mentioned to her before jail that it was one of the main things he missed the most. She put that out on social media with the specific intent to hurt him. Please pray for him to get past his past, and laugh inside about her childish actions. Please pray he can cheer up today and find something fun to do with the boys that doesn't need money or a car. We have the lake within walking distance with swimming and fishing and so many other things they can do that don't cost a thing. Help him to realize what a compliment it is that the boys, Isaiah, 15 and Matthew Jr. 8 would rather spend their time with him than anything else. Please pray for Matt to cheer up, and not mope around. I know, Lord that it's good that he is able to see the result of some mistakes and bad choices. Help him please to use that for growth and for the better, instead of drowning in regret and despair. Please, Blessed Mother Mary, please ask your son, Jesus walk beside him on this journey.
