Stand strong brother. We will get there eventually. No one way to make it.

I agreed with everything. Furthermore, I had no idea that Mark was associated with your film. I really like that.
My intention on e-mailing Prof. Harris was solely based on his work procures Mr. Leonsis as a commencement speaker guest for USC. I was happy for the film they made together however disappointed the students didn't get to hear Mr. Leonsis speak. It his a brilliant and decent man - I really respect the work he's done in the business sector and what he's done Washington, D.C. sports, giving us relevance again.
My conversation with Mrs. Boone Isaacs' was cut short by speaking with Karolyn Ali. However Ms. Ali is a champion for Doc, producing "Tupac Resurrection."
I won't email especially with Pro league going on right -- too much confusion and the program and fans should enjoy the real deal before a project like Garfield Park.
I am surprised by Mr. Wilbon however that may rectify itself, like you say, later down the road.
I may attend Monday evening in order to meet Mrs. Boone Isaac however I did let Ms. Ali know that your intention is for something much, much and didn't disclose too much. She is actually from Chicago or lived there for a long time. Frankly, as reps. of the Academy we couldn't talk about too much.
I agree with everything else and I know that Jeopardy! will be a big film.
I was meeting with Gersh to be an assistant. I wish it was easier. I have a meeting with WME, Tuesday. The really have an air about filmmaking there and possibly not even looking for filmmakers to transition to the agency world -- which is weird. I'll keep plugging along and keep you updated. Karolyn is a good contact for when you complete the Jeopardy! film. I'm really proud of the work you and Yu have accomplished. Many of us haven't made to the feature film level. I just wrote the Dean attempting to gain distribution for the Franco Class features through Capital Arts Entertainment, a contact built through Zom-Bee TV, and Vince Jolivette, Rabbit Bandini and John Watson. Will the kids have a chance for their film in a Redbox or DGA possibilities? Who knows.

I got your VM yesterday but had an event I had to go to. Sorry about not getting back to you.
First, thank you for your support and efforts. I appreciate that you think of me. While I want you to be a part of the Panthers project, I just ask that you consult with me before emailing people about it. I just want to know what's going on first and foremost before I am 10 emails deep into a thread. I know we will get the support eventually but I am learning from this Arthur Chu stuff that emailing people repeatedly can often just turn them away. We almost lost an interview with Alex Trebek by trying to get in touch with him directly because we emailed too many times. Luckily, Arthur saved us because he knew Alex personally and introduced us in person. But in this case, we don't know Ms. Isaacs personally or Mr. Wilbon so of course they are hard to get a hold of. They can't humor every filmmakers request. They won't do anything for us directly just from an email...in my opinion. Once we start filming and building momentum, then we can present it to Steve James and then to Wilbon in a professional matter as I am sure they would both be interested in the project...and with a very clear agenda as to why we are presenting it to them. For the Steve James email, it will be written in 2016 and will be a request to have him sign on as EP (only in a creative regard), based on his skill and knowledge of documentary filmmaking as exemplified with Hoop Dreams.
Long story short, it's just too soon to ruin a chance at forming organic relationships. I know that is your approach and you have the mentality that you never know when someone will say here is 100k to make your film, but 99.999999% of the time you have to do it like everyone else: just look up the grant and apply for it. If your project has merit, they will give you funds. Meanwhile, I am risking the loss of a very good relationship with Mark Harris when he is CC'ed to emails he knows nothing about. Furthermore, Mark Harris was my mentor for my thesis film and never once did he come into our Doc class to consult during the process of making Edge of the Crest. That film almost got me kicked out of school and is a horrible film at best. I don't want Mark to know that I was associated with that film or he could pull the plug on being EP...especially when he has written some really solid letters of recommendation and we need those letters. How did Mark sign on to our project? It wasn't because someone emailed him a hundred times about it. Just not my approach.
Just hit me up with the email before you blast it out. We cool on that?
Good luck with your interviews at the agency's. Are you interviewing to work as an agent? Or hoping to get representation? What kind of job is it exactly?
Let me know how your call goes with Ms. Isaacs as she did request a call with you Jason, not me.
