Please pray for our son, Matt. He was arrested yesterday for driving nearly 100 mph in a residential neighborhood. He had bullets and was trying to kill himself because of his mental health problems and not being able to let go after his girlfriend separated from him years ago. He says he is distraught over not seeing his son, but in truth he just wants to stalk and harass the boy's mother. His mental illness with bipolar, schizophrenia, and major depressive illness is the true reason their relationship failing. Please pray that he is able to get the help and interventions he needs, and that he seriously reflects and gains insight, being able to clearly see the root causes contributing to the exacerbation of his mental instability. Namely, DRUGS. Namely, Methamphetamine and other stimulants like Adderal pills. He has suffered from increased mental health issues ever since he was prescribed ADHD medication in school years. He has to sit in jail a minimum of 4 days, to cover two traffic fines he never paid off. Then he has the new 'evading arrest' charge from driving like a maniac from the police yesterday, stopping in our driveway with three officers having guns drawn on him, demanding him out of the car, on the ground, hands up. Part of him is like a little innocent disturbed child, the other part a disturbed man unable to manage adult feelings with his mental challenges. He can't see himself. Please pray he can see himself and clearly understand that his drug use and inability to let go and accept the loss of his ex, has almost ended his life. His madness could have also killed innocent people on his wild drive. He had a fully developed suicide plan to end his life yesterday by self-conflicted gunshot. Thank you, Father God, for sending those police officers at just the right time to prevent his death by suicide. Please, Mother Mary, ask your Son, Our Lord Jesus, to visit him in his jail cell and give him wisdom, the strength to keep on living, living his best life, heal his mind of illness and drug use.
